When I worked in Kennewick our radio station was across the street from Cost Co. At least once a week we would go to Cost Co. To check out the “demo stations” for different food items they were promoting and after about 15 minutes of Grazing we would head out and stop for the hot dog and soda. We called it “going out for the Big Wienie.” Anytime you say the words “free food” every D.J. within a 100-mile radius will show up ready to snack.

When covid hit, “demo stations” at Cost Co. went away so there was no more grazing at Cost Co.

Time marches on and food demos are back and it’s about time for me to check out what's available for grazing. I try to show up around 12:30. It gives the food demos time to get set up and running. Parking near the store might be difficult but it’s worth the walk, again we are talking about free food, I can get out and walk.

When you get inside remember to pace yourself and don’t be greedy, there are lots of demos and remember you are going to finish it off with the “Big Wienie” or a slice of pizza.

At the right time of day, every day is a great day to graze at Cost Co. And you might find a new product that you can’t live without.
