Happy Groundhogs Day! I realize that little rodent saw its shadow - meaning six more weeks of Winter.

Let’s plan ahead and look forward to warmer days, If your travel plans include going to see a ballgame or concert in Seattle - consider getting a bite to eat at what was named:

Hey - Ray's knows they do business in Seattle, with lots of rainy, cold drizzly days. The view from inside the restaurant is just as amazing.

My earliest memory of Ray’s was when it tragically burned down, back in the 80s. Thankfully, the Restaurant owners took their time to repair and rebuild the iconic Ballard eatery.

It all started in 1939, when the man, whose namesake remains with the eatery, Ray Lichenberger, started a boat rental and bait shop in Ballard. Ray then, began a coffeehouse, on site in 1945.  The prestige and quality changed in 1973, when Russ Wohlers and other partners - bought the place and turned it into what we know today.  A welcoming, upscale Seafood and Steak Restaurant with a view of Puget Sound and the breathtaking Olympic Mountains.

Their website RAYS.com was in danger of being lost to Major League Baseball, When the Tampa Bay Devil Rays changed their name to the Rays.

Honestly you can't go wrong at Ray's Boathouse! The food is always incredible, the view over the water is to die for, the servers are great and they course everything perfectly, the bartenders are skilled, and I love how they use a lot of locally sourced and small batch ingredients! -Colleen K. on Yelp
