Eastmont School Superintendent Becky Berg explained the district's revised $117 million bond request to address aging facilities and safety concerns. The priorities have been trimmed to focus on infrastructure needs of the four elementary schools, including outdated classrooms, worn-out portable classrooms, and inadequate heating and cooling systems.

The school board has authorized the committee to oversee the design and construction process for upgrades planned for several schools.
