Metallica are almost done finalizing a Las Vegas Sphere residency deal, according to a new report. It will supposedly take place in 2027.

The longest-running residency at the Las Vegas venue continues.

"All we need is someone to create the content, we'll provide the music," the drummer tells UCR.

"The stuff that we could bring to this would be stupendous," the guitarist says.

Another world-class metal band recently said they'd love to play the state-of-the-art venue.

The drummer calls the innovative venue "the beginning of another chapter in live performances."

The venue has even occasionally affected his performance.

Even though the guitarist "buried all the hatchets" with his former band, he hasn't been invited to their residency.

After this weekend's concerts, the band will break before shows resume in September.

Their second Sin City visit featured old favorites, striking new visuals and a live debut.
