Costco Rolls Out New Shopping Hours For Executive Members

Almost a year ago membership prices for Costco went up in all three categories. Now, beginning June 30th, there are new hours and some perks if you're an executive member.

‘Costco is rolling out earlier shopping hours for executive members at U.S. warehouses — a subtle but significant shift nearly a year after raising membership fees for the first time since 2017.
The perk is a way to add value to the membership club's top

tier and potentially increase the ranks of executive members who make up a higher percentage of sales.’ 

If you're a member of Costco, you've probably debated whether to go with the Executive or the Gold Star membership. I mean, really, the executive membership is twice the price of the Gold Star membership. $130.00 a year. 

Starting June 30th, Costco is stepping up and offering what I consider to be a major perk if you're an executive member. Special hours only for executive members. Well, I know if you're an executive member, you get a 2% Rebate at the end of the year, but for me, an early entry, that's a game changer. 

This is a smart move for Costco because they make more money from executive members. Think about this, Costco executive members make up about 47% of their total members. Here's the kicker; Costco executive members make up about 73.1% of Costco's total global sales. That's a big number, and that's another reason why Costco wants to expand its executive member list. 

What are the Special new hours for executive members? 

Monday to Friday: 9am to 10am 

Saturday: 9am to 9:30am 

Sunday: 9am to 10am 

Am I excited about these new Costco hours for executive members? You better believe it. The crowds at Costco can sometimes be overwhelming. So many people, so hard to find a parking place. Yes, I know I have to go there an hour earlier, but I'm OK with that.
