I’m still eating Food at the park during the apple blossom festival, Wenatchee
The Wenatchee Apple Blossom Festival is on now. There are all kinds of things going on every day (and night) but the thing I always look forward to are the food venders in Memorial Park. I try to go every day that I can so I can have something different each day.
The award for “biggest sausage” goes to Whites Concessions, (you will find them on Orondo street). You can get "The Big Wennie at Cost co but this is bigger. In Apple Blossom’s past I have had the “Buffalo Burger, and the foot-long corn dog. I have to say the “Giant German Sausage” is huge. I do think the small bun makes it look bigger. The Price? It’s giant too $17.95, yikes! I will say this, it was really good. It had a natural casing, and it had a good “snap” when I bit into it.
White's Concessions has a lot on the menu, Hawaiian burgers, buffalo and German sausage, buffalo and sirloin burgers, elephant ears, Indian tacos, foot-long and regular corn dogs, bloomin' onions, curly fries, chili cheese fries, fajitas, western steak sandwiches, hand-cut tenderloin sandwiches, and more.
I went back to Smokenhagen and it turns out they don’t have a pork loin sandwich. They do have a pulled pork sandwich but, not today. OK, maybe tomorrow? No, I don’t think so.
I hope to do “food in the park” again tomorrow. What’s for lunch? You will have to wait to find out. Or drop by the park and give it a taste.
