National Drive Electric Week is happening and part of that is a gathering that's going to happen here in North Central Washington at Rocky Reach Dam. The event is sponsored by Plug in North Central Washington. This is our own local non-profit organization that provides education, resources and the opportunity to meet people who are EV drivers. (And see what they drive.)

The second annual EV lineup occurs on October 2nd. At Rocky Reach Dam in the lower Picnic shelter parking lot. From 4:00 PM to 6:30. I went to the event last year, had a great time, met some cool people and got to talk to a few people about electric cars and the benefits that they Offer, especially in an area like Chelan and Douglas Countys. (Cheap electricity.)

Plug In North Central Washington, a local non-profit organized the event to help EV owners get together and meet each other, exchange information, and answer the questions of people thinking about getting into an electric vehicle.

I'm looking forward to good weather, but even if it gets rainy it's still going to be fun. For one thing, I'm hoping my friend Gary will come and visit us from Chelan in his Nissan Leaf.

I'm sure we will also see at least 1 Ford F150 Lightning. (I hope they bring their popcorn popper.)

We will probably see a nice selection of Tesla Model X, Model Y and Model 3's, and possibly even a cyber truck. (It could happen.) There are so many new different kinds of EVs out there that I would imagine we're going to have even more variety than we did last year, (which was pretty good actually.)

I will be driving my semi-new Kia EV9 to the event. I know there's at least one or two others in the area. I plan to get there a little early so I can get a good parking space.

At the end of the event. We'll be lining up all the EV's in a big line and we're going to see how long that line gets. Right now, the world record for this event in North America. Is Quebec with 733 vehicles? (I'm not sure we can beat that.)
