Plug In North Central Washington EV gathering a success.
Saturday was a beautiful day. Blue sky, sunshine, a perfect day for a short drive out to Rockey Reach Dam and have an electric car gathering. Plug In North Central Washington, a local non-profit organized the event to help EV owners get together and meet each other, exchange information, and answer the questions of people thinking about getting into an electric vehicle.
I got there a little early so I could get a prime parking spot and take some pictures. It turned out a good friend of mine from Chelan Gary showed up in his Nissan Leaf. We had a good time catching up and I was glad to answer questions about my car and EVs in general to people who were interested in getting into an EV.
One driver arrived in a Ford F-150 Lightning. It was black on black (very cool) and it was fun when he plugged a popcorn popper into an outlet behind the tailgate and then it was popcorn for everybody.
There was a good variety of electric vehicles there, the usual Tesla model 3’s, Y’s, S’s and even an X.
I drove my Kia EV6 (there were two of us there), Gary drove his Nissan Leaf (there were several there), We had a couple Chevy Bolt’s there,
one driver showed up in a Subaru Solterra (verry rare).
One Lucid sedan (I’m not sure what trim level), It had the longest range of any car there at 500 miles.
we had an unusual "plug in Hybrid there, a BMW i8 definitely the coolest looking car in my opinion.
and we also had a Rivian R1T Pickup.
We all had a good time hanging out, meeting each other and answering questions.
I’m already looking forward to the next EV get together. Thank you to Plug In North Central Washington for putting it together. www.pluginncw.com
