Vote for The Quake 102.1, “World’s best” local radio station.

Just like The Apple Blossom Festival and the little birdies chirping in the trees, spring has come and that means it is time to vote for “Wenatchee World's best”. This comes once a year and its basically kind of like a beauty contest for all kinds of businesses and events and yes radio stations. It's put on by the nice folks at the Wenatchee World newspaper. Classic Rock The Quake 102.1 has been lucky enough to receive the “world's best” title three times in the last four years. This year, three stations here at the Radio Ranch have been nominated, News Radio 560 KPQ, KW3, And The Quake 102.1. I love and respect all my coworkers up to a point. And that point is The Quake 102.1 winning. (Don't forget once a day, every day.) 

I mean, really, do these guys look like they care about your vote? 

Voting begins at noon tomorrow (4/17/24) and continues through Sunday (4/28/24). 

Needless to say, we encourage you to vote early and vote often, you are allowed to vote once a day, every day. 

Every vote you cast is a vote for music loving adults everywhere in the world who don't care to hear the latest Taylor Swift song about an old boyfriend? (Don't get me wrong, I think Taylor Swift is a lovely person. I just don't want to listen to her music).

It's all about bragging rights. Winning this award does not make us anymore money. It does not make us anymore popular, and it certainly doesn't make us better people. But it does give me and all my coworkers here at The Quake 102.1 the opportunity to walk up and down the hallway every day and brag shamelessly about our audience and how cool they are.
